| The photographer from Ballsmania has emailed me 40 odd photo's from Sunday, they are too big in size to be downloaded to this website so I have posted them on my Facebook page. I will be setting up a Poets Corner facebook page some time this week and will let you know when its live. Stan - nevermind the Champions of Champions Cup we are hoping to get you in the League Cup first this season ! Still can't believe we was only 10 seconds from victory - bastards ! Our day will come. Good luck with the various competitions Gedling/Arnold Vets enter except the league cup ! |

| The match on Sunday was a well fought competition and it was nice of Chappo to have paid Slap for letting Gillys 135yrd trickler “sneak” into the corner of his net, but a stern few words from his team mates and a rush of guilt made sure he stepped up his game and saved 3 out of 3 penalties.
But as Chappo says the day was a great success and with gate receipts, contributions from the Notts Vets League, bucket donations and a well contributed raffle at The Southbank we managed to get a tidy sum of money that was very much appreciated by Jackie and the family.
May I take the opportunity in wishing Poets Corner all the best for the 2010-11 season, I've no doubt you will win the league again and Tony and I will try our best to overcome “The Cheating Police” and give you guys the chance of a bit of revenge in next seasons Champions of Champions Cup.
